Confessions of a Broke Producer
This confession would be the first line of my memoir if I ever wrote it (but I won’t). Instead, let me sum up my life’s work here:
Most days, I’m an Executive Producer and showrunner in non-fiction television. I’ve written and produced hundreds of hours of television for ROKU, Netflix, Discovery Channel, MotorTrend, OWN, CBS, A&E, and History Channel, amongst others. My favorite projects include: KINGS OF BBQ with Cedric the Entertainer and Anthony Anderson; KEVIN HART’S MUSCLE CAR CREW with the comedy legend Kevin Hart and his Plastic Cup Boyz comedy troupe; FAST N’ LOUD; THE UNIVERSE; and THE ULTIMATE GUIDE TO THE PRESIDENTS.

After my stint at the Spirit of Boston, things got interesting. I worked with brand giants like Chevrolet, Pizzeria Uno, Fidelity Investments, and The Lottery at a kooky production company that was run by a family of eight brothers and sisters. Since then, my work has taken me around the world, from the dizzying heights of skyscrapers with Ironworkers to dangling off the side of container ships with Longshoremen.
(Fun fact: it’s 100 feet up a rope ladder if you want to board a container ship at sea. Border Patrol will also arrest you if they don’t know you’re coming. Good times.)
I did a little show with a bunch of great people at Pilgrim Media Group called FAST N’ LOUD, that changed the face of Discovery Channel and invented Motor Mondays. As a result, I’ve had an obscene amount of visits to NASCAR’S Charlotte Motor Speedway. Be it complex science or fast cars, I love programming that teaches you something. I love digging into people’s lives to reveal something about their worlds we could never know.
My passion for stories goes deeper than non-fiction. A long-time closeted screenwriter, Some people baked bread during the Pandemic, I went back to school and completed a life-long dream of getting my M.F.A. in Creative Writing. Novels, short stories, Novellas, plays…it was bliss.

I’ve always been active in our guilds and trade organizations, once serving as a vice-president for the Producers Guild of America and now current mentor. I’ve proudly represented my producing peers on the Producers Executive Peer Group Committee for the TV Academy.
Most recently, much of my free time is gobbled up by my role as a founding partner and Head of Strategy at the SIE SOCIETY, a leading alliance of social impact entertainment practiconers. We our mission is to connect, equip, and amplify those in entertainment, SBCC, and CSR.
That’s a long-winded way to say that stories matter, and they can change the world if they’re done correctly.
